Are you a yes person? Do you struggle to say no? Do you often wind up overcommitted & overwhelmed?

You're not alone. Nearly all of us fall victim to people pleasing and nearly all of us need a little help with setting boundaries.

Setting boundaries with yourself is showing you that what is most important to you is most important to you. Constantly enforcing these boundaries with yourself is what is required in order for you to create and live a life that you love. Enable your actions to demonstrate your priorities and stop sabotaging yourself by saying yes.

Nothing in your life will change without you, so stop thinking about making your life better and start actually making it better.

Meet Samantha Eades. Co-founder of Style-Smiths and Jonny's and director of Samantha Eades. Sami is an entrepreneur, designer and total game-changer and her message today will change the direction of your life.

Life for Sami changed dramatically at 30 after an 11 year marriage ended and she left the fundamentalist religion she had been raised in. At this point in her life she had the option to make this devastation her story or to write a new one. She chose the latter and the past decade has been a blur of success, disruption, risk and love.

She is one of the most successful women in Australia and one of the most sought after designers in the world.

Her message is to find the beauty in your life. Inside and out. And live with this passion. Take risks, make mistakes, grab hold of your life with both hands and run.

Inspiring, exciting and super educational, this is the episode you will listen to twice and share with your friends.

Thank you Sami for being so incredible.

Meet Elyse Murphy - incredible Mum, wife, Chinese medicine Practitioner, acupuncturist and all-round super woman.

I asked Elyse to be on this podcast because she is one of those people you meet who just lights up the world. She is warm, funny, nice, fun, compassionate, open, generous and seriously just glows. Her son is happy, healthy and just the cutest thing ever and her husband somehow balances running a successful gym with being a professional athlete. So I was desperate to know how she does it all?!

How does she manage career, family, health and being so damn great all of the time? So today's podcast is all about balance and love. It's about tuning in to your body and nurturing it. It's about listening to what you need and staying on track with your life's purpose. It's about treating people well and recognising the joy there is in everything that surrounds us

Elyse is amazing and could not be better suited to our Strong Women Create Strong Communities series. I hope that you love this episode and that you love her as much as I do.

You know that thing you've always wanted? Dreamed of? Wished for? Hoped for? Yeah you know what I'm talking about about...

Well you're the reason you don't have it. Y

ou're the reason why your wishes haven't come true.

And you're the reason why all of this can change right now.

Last week on the podcast Penny Locaso talked about her "100 No's Project". Basically she is done with waiting and she's decided to ask for what she wants from here-on-in.

The 100 No's Project sets you the mission to receive 100 "no's" - i.e.: if you put yourself out there enough you're bound to get a heaps of yes's too.

So that's what today is all about. What are you willing to put into your life? Are you ready to get out of your comfort zone and get on to a path of so much better? Or are you just going to keep sitting back and wishing?

Jun 1, 2017

Welcome to Part 1 of the Your Revolution Strong Women Create Strong Communities Series. We are incredibly humbled to be joined by B.Kindred founder Penny Locaso.

Penny is on a mission to teach 1 million women how to nail their happy in work and life by 2020.

Recently Penny delivered a keynote in her bathing suit in front of 100 professionals, to demonstrate the power of getting comfortable with discomfort in order to make happy change. The moment went viral, was accoladed by professionals globally and inspired the #nakedforchange movement encouraging individuals to practice vulnerability for meaningful change in business and life.

A massive action taker, change expert and all round game-changer, Penny's message is simple, get curious about your life. Find out what excites you and with action comes clarity.

Sit back and enjoy every second of this episode with a notebook and pen. You'll want to take notes from this one!

Every day I discuss costs with people. The cost of education, of training, of healthy food, of betterment, learning, growth health. Does the cost stop you from taking action?

What about the cost of inaction? Of illness? Of dissatisfaction? Of a life whittled away by missed opportunities?

We're here to live big lives. To be happy, have experiences and make an impact.

Stop sitting on the sidelines.

Stop making excuses.

Pay the price or pay the price.

You choose.

Time. Money. Effort. Energy. Regret.

What is it really costing?

So often we say we don't have time or we're too busy, but all we're really saying is that it is not enough of a priority for us.

Priority is the centre point of time, energy and effort allocation. And if by analysing your schedule you feel like the allocation is off, then this is your cue to create change.

Our brains try to keep us safe and to our brains change is unsafe. But what about a life whereby you live by someone else's priorities? Or worse still priorities set for you by society? How safe is that?

The only question you need to ask is what is important to you? And how is your schedule reflecting and supporting this?

If your health is a priority, make time for it. If the love of your life is a priority, make time for them, engage with them, show them love, through your energy and enthusiasm as well as your time. Work taking up too much of your time? How productive are you actually being? And what about those kids? Number 1 priority? Yet you're stuck at work and grouchy and tired all the time as a result, not to mention ashamed of your body and disappointed in yourself so of course you snap at them constantly. That's not priority. That's turning the joys of your life into chores because you lack pride in the place that you are in.

What kind of life are you allowing for yourself by sacrificing your priorities for what you think you "should" be doing?

Want this to change? Then take notes on this one.

Meet Hayden Quinn. At just 30 years of age, Hayden has shown us what passion and hard work can do. Years ago he starred on Masterchef, but since then he has created TV shows, written books, opened a gym and inspired millions of people through education, insight and excitement about how they can live their best life.

Hilarious, natural and so driven, Hayden is a total game-changer. I sat through the interview amazed at the passion of this Aussie-guy-next-door. I learnt so much from his attitude, his perseverance and his energy.

Hayden isn’t a success today because of Masterchef 8 years ago. Hayden is a success because he chooses to be every day. He works hard and sometimes he struggles, but none of it has been handed to him and it’s his attitude and work ethic that keeps seeing him climb.

What I want for this podcast is for you to realise that his story isn’t a fairytale of luck but it’s a story that shows us that we can do anything we want. We don’t need to wait for perfect conditions to start we just have to start. And once we start that’s when the magic really begins. The process of our life is our life and the longer you put everything on hold because the conditions aren’t perfect, the further away your life gets.

So with that being said I hope you enjoy todays episode with Hayden as much as I enjoyed recording it for you.

I guess you could say haters are gonna hate. But what can we do about it?

This week on the Your Revolution Podcast, Jane Erbacher talks about criticism. Where does it come from and what can we do when it's directed at us?

It's clear the majority of time that when criticism comes our way it's not even about us. It's a reflection of insecurity and it's usually within the context of our deeply ingrained tall poppy syndrome. But does that help when we feel under attack? And when we are, what can we do?

Have a listen to find out how you can stand up for yourself and how you can stop the movement of jealousy and hate.

This week on the Your Revolution Podcast, Jane Erbacher speaks with Eliza Paschke.

Eliza is a bright, bubbly, enthusiastic and fun 30 year old with what seems to be a carefree life. But Eliza's story is one that many of us can relate to. For years Eliza has battled with anxiety and depression and at her lowest could barely leave the house.

This conversation is open and honest and really tackles some of the most relevant issues affecting our society today.

We underestimate the courage it takes to talk truthfully about our lives and I am so grateful to Eliza for sharing her experience. We can all learn something from each others story and I hope so much that Eliza's story leaves an impact on you and inspires you to change the conversation around mental illness.

Choice starts with the acknowledgement that everything you want is within your reach.

Choice starts with what.
It continues with how.
And it survives with why.

Deciding what you want, taking the ongoing action to achieve it and understanding why it is important to you. Every single day.

Is it always easy? No.

Is it always worth it? Yes.

What's stopping you? Fear.

How can you change it? By choosing to.

Simple in theory. Nearly impossible in practice. But that is what life is all about.

Choosing to be better. Choosing to open yourself up. Choosing to take risks. Choosing to grow. Choosing to pick yourself up after mistakes. Choosing not to settle for a life that is less than you deserve.

I choose to love my life.

I choose to surround myself with people who build me up and make me better.

I choose to work hard, get uncomfortable, strive to be the best I can and I hope that this episode of the Your Revolution Podcast inspires you to do the same.

What drives someone to persevere when their entire identity is in tatters? This is the question that this weeks episode of the Your Revolution podcast asks Lee Carseldine.

A professional cricketer who saw a terrible back injury rob him in his prime shares with us the resilience he developed in order to overcome his career ending set back.

Lee is not an ordinary man. He is one of those people you meet who takes set backs as lessons and bounces back stronger than before. He is one of those people we can all learn from and we are so lucky to have him share his story with us.

From professional cricket to studying a double masters, to surviving Survivor and now running a successful business and raising two young boys, Lee has done it all. But it hasn't all been smooth sailing and his story is one that will change your perspective, your attitude and potentially your life.

This weeks Your Revolution podcast is all about overcoming set backs and creating your own strength, both inside and out. Don't miss this opportunity to tune in and create the change necessary to make your life even better.

What does engagement actually mean? And is it that important?

I realised a couple of weeks ago that engaging with my life and connecting with those around me was really what it is all about. There's a lot of hype around mindfulness and awareness, but what about focused and genuine engagement?

I believe that while awareness lays the foundation, it is only through actually connecting and really engaging with your life - both intrinsically and extrinsically - that magic can be created.

Today's Your Revolution podcast is all about this. Learning to build awareness about your life, from your feelings and thoughts, to your dreams and hopes and all the action in between by truly and wholly engaging with it. Paying attention, putting in effort, striving and taking steps to be better every single day, connecting with those around you and having an impact on the world - this is engagement. And now is the time.

Every single day, our actions and our behaviours need to be a reflection of our passions and our purpose. What do you want from your life? What's it all for? Where are you going? What are you working towards?

How often do you ask yourselves these questions? And how clear are you about the answers?

Episode 54 of the Your Revolution podcast addresses all these questions. Tune in to hear how Jane Erbacher recommends you answer them and how from right this moment you can set yourself on a path towards what it is you really want for your life.

Feb 28, 2017

This week on the Your Revolution Podcast, Jane Erbacher addresses the question of contentment.

Contentment is defined as peaceful happiness and for so many of us, this is the ultimate goal: "I just want to feel content".

But what if I asked you if you were content with your life right now? And then I asked you if you were content being content?

For me life isn't simply peaceful happiness or smooth sailing. It's a challenge. It's ups and downs. It's excitement and growth. It's disappointment and pain.

But you don't get stronger or build resilience by staying the same and being content. You get stronger by getting uncomfortable and taking action. You get stronger by surviving traumas and our heartbreaks. You get stronger by wanting more and not settling.

If you're miserable, complaining, afraid or dissatisfied, stop waiting. Take action. Make changes. Don't settle for "content". Live.

Feb 19, 2017

Thank you Jaci for joining us, you are amazing. Oh and happy birthday!!

We've all heard of fear of failure, but what about a fear of success?

In Episode 51 of The Your Revolution Podcast Jane Erbacher addresses the theory that success terrifies us and our reluctance to create the necessary conditions of change to sustain success is based primarily around fear.

Fear of expectation, fear of work, fear of the pain of change, fear that we can't sustain the work required for the success, fear of disappointment, fear of ending up worse off than where we started.

All of this fear feels rational, but is any of it even real? We overwhelm ourselves so much with what might happen that we prevent ever moving forward and growing.

Taking action on your life is your life. Allowing fear to deter you from action and from success is failure.

Start today by taking action and begin to harvest the necessary changes required to create the success you've always dreamed of in your life. That is what it's all about.

If you liked this episode please share it with your friends so that together we have an impact on the world.

The Your Revolution Podcast is all about BETTERMENT. How can I learn, grow and improve in order to better my life and the world?

Hamish Blake is the "everyman". We all feel like he's our friend and we have loved watching him grow on our screens and on the radio. This week on the Revo PT podcast, Jane Erbacher talks all things FOCUS.

We live in a culture that values productivity and being busy above all else and as a result the pressure we feel to go go go can be overwhelming.

But how fulfilling is this really? To keep all of our life tabs open requires our focus and our focus requires our energy. When our focus and energy is divided, our results suffer and we wind up disengaged and exhausted.

Improving your ability to focus starts with prioritising that which is most important to you and eliminating the rubbish. Saying no and investing fully equals more commitment to less commitments and more commitment equals more fulfilment.

Everyday of your life is your life. What are you really missing by not paying attention to what is happening right now?

Jan 23, 2017

This week on the Revo PT podcast Jane Erbacher speaks with Nathan McCulloch.

All the way from Tasmania, Nathan is one of the most likeable personal trainers out there. Recently completing his Bachelor degree in Exercise and Sport Science, and with a vast athletic history we are so lucky to have him on our team at Revo PT.

Nathan is not only a great trainer, he is a great guy with so much passion, enthusiasm and energy for his life. On a constant mission every day to better himself, Nathan has learnt at a young age the importance of learning every day, while surrounding himself with people he looks up to and is inspired by.

A great conversation and a great message, don't miss this episode with Tassie's finest export Nathan McCulloch.
